(Y)OUr Church
you are Welcome
A Church is both a community of people and the building which they use. Though, our church community consists mainly of people who are choosing to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, we welcome here any from any tradition or faith, to visit, enquire or work with us in complementary ways.
In fact we greet children on school visits with “Welcome to YOUR Church” because they are as much part of this community and its special place – as those who’ve attended for years.
It’s also why this website often uses (y)our to describe the church, because we are not exclusive but hope that you too already find, or might soon find, that this is YOUR church whether you have been in the area for years or are a new here. ( Unless you are a visitor – whose home is elsewhere – in which case we welcome you and your visit
So we reiterate all are welcome in our community and to our building and grounds and especially we long to work with any who have a care for people, a love of heritage and history or wish to learn to understand how to live life well.
We believe that God’s spirit creates, love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, patience, faithfulness, generosity and self-control.
All we do and are, then has these characteristics underpinning it and these attributes are (we hope) outworked in our community and spaces:
